Today, we’re joined by Josh Kreifels. With a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and has been in practice for six years, Josh has a deep understanding of the complex relationship between food, nutrients, and the body. He takes a holistic approach to health and wellness and believes optimal health can only be achieved by identifying and addressing the root cause of health issues, rather than simply treating symptoms.
On episode 64 of the Dominate Your Day, Dana Williams and Josh continued on the five pillars of wellbeing by Gallup, specifically physical wellbeing. What you put in your body and how you move your body matter in attaining a sustainable healthy life. Statistically, Josh shares that 94% of people are metabolically unhealthy, and it is a result of over-inflamed lifestyles, low mobility, chronic stress, and low-grade infections. In order to live a healthier life, Josh delves into how whole foods, micro-nutrient diversity, proteins, and carbs can influence diet sustainability. To Josh, sustainability means everything, without dietary restrictions.
Throughout this episode, Josh talks about his 5 pillars of health - eat well, sleep well, think well, move well, and feel well, and how these areas are closely intertwined.
