Are you feeling burned out and overwhelmed? Like the stress and anxiety is too much, and you're just ready for someone to come and save you right now?

Corrie LoGiudice, high-performance coach and motivational speaker, speaks directly to the feelings you may be experiencing. Corrie’s career began at her family’s company, where she rose the ranks to eventually serve as senior vice president. Though she loved her time with the company, she began to feel unsettled in her role.

After experiencing the trauma of abuse and divorce, she began to focus on her well-being. Her therapist encouraged her to consider a career as a coach, using the lessons she had gleaned from both her career and the events of her personal life. But Corrie was expected to eventually take over the family business; she felt terrified to make such a major change.

It wasn’t until she experienced suicide loss that she realized that just like she had started over from scratch before, she could do it again, both personally and professionally.

“I am a firm believer that everything that you experience in life — good, bad, and indifferent — prepares you for how you're meant to help and serve others at a future date,” Corrie said.

That led her to start her coaching business, where she specializes in helping leaders transform overwhelm into action through her framework called the Overwhelm Culprits. She names these Overwhelm Culprits as lack of clarity, confidence, community, conditioning, and consistency. For each of these five culprits, she emphasizes the importance of taking action.

She encourages leaders to get clarity on their why: not just understanding where you want to be in life, but the why behind this. Why do you want the things that you want?

She also speaks to the importance of building our confidence, saying, “And unfortunately confidence is an inside job. I think this is one thing that women in particular, we're always waiting for other people to validate us.”

Corrie points out that a lack of good community can be a major obstacle to taking action. She challenges us to consider whether our community is helping us grow and learn, or whether they are keeping us stuck in bad habits.

She discusses that a lack of conditioning — taking care of our physical and mental health and wellness — can hurt us in our endeavors to create the life we want. Prioritizing good sleep, nutrition, and exercise is imperative for our well-being.

Lastly, she emphasizes the importance of consistency. She tells a story of the immense business success one of her clients experienced, the result of consistency in how her client showed up to her business day after day.

Corrie’s story of resilience through immense suffering inspires us to weather our own storms, prioritizing our well-being to the best of our abilities. Her Overwhelm Culprits framework offers us guidance to take action in the areas we feel stuck, ultimately leading us to become the kind of leaders — and people — we hope to become.
