On this episode of Dominate Your Day, Christian Nunes—a licensed clinical social worker, policy strategist, and former national president of the National Organization for Women—shares her journey from working with trauma survivors to becoming founder of Equity Bound Solutions, where she now helps organizations create inclusive and wellness-focused cultures. About Christian Nunes

Christian F. Nunes, MBA, MS, LCSW, is a dynamic leader who has served as President of the National Organization for Women from August 2020 to August 2025. Before this, she served as Vice President, appointed by the board in May 2019. As the organization's second African American president and the youngest person of color to hold the position in over 54 years, Christian lead NOW's intersectional mission, rallying grassroots activists against structural sexism and racism.

She is the Founder & CEO of Equity Bound Solutions LLC—a BIPOC, woman minority behavioral health and equity consulting firm. Under her leadership at NOW, she has launched signature initiatives including The Feminist State of the Union, Disrupt NOW, Level Up NOW, and the Unlock the Future campaign, as well as the Bill of Rights for Immigrant Women and Girls.

Nunes has contributed to drafting legislative proposals addressing economic justice, cyberflashing, anti-deepfake protections, and social media accountability, and coauthored a community survey on police response to mental health crises. Christian is also the author of a children's book titled No Hug Today, which teaches children, parents and educators on how to discuss consent and autonomy in a child-appropriate and empowering way. She has also authored a workbook designed for adolescents who have experienced online gender-based violence.

A licensed clinical social worker, former trauma therapist and seasoned activist with over two decades of experience, Nunes brings trauma informed, equity driven strategies to grassroots mobilization and policy advocacy and business strategy. Featured across national media, she merges policy expertise, lived experience, inclusive leadership, and media savvy communication to lead systems change and elevate global gender justice.
