Listen on:
In honor of this month’s theme of gratitude, we’re sharing stories of those who have answered the call to serve others.
In this week’s episode of Dominate Your Day, Robert Corley, Chief Operating Officer of Mercy Ships tells his story of faith, purpose, and impact as a leader—from his time in the Navy and corporate world at Southwest Airlines, to answering the call to join nonprofit Mercy Ships, an organization that sends hospital ships to provide surgeries to those in need around the world.
He shares his leadership journey of launching a new hospital ship at Mercy Ships during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—all while leading through crisis, global disruption, and even a major cyberattack. We also discuss the importance of mental health in leadership. Robert courageously shares how the loss of his sister to suicide shaped his journey and deepened his empathy. His story is a powerful reminder that the scars we carry can become tools for connection and healing.
I hope this episode encourages you to lead with purpose, lean into your strengths, and remember that your impact often starts with the people closest to you.
