Your Coping Strategies No Longer Serve You with LeeAnn Mallory - Episode 366
Oct 27, 2026
Listen on:
What if the reason you feel overwhelmed isn’t that you need to become more productive—but that you need to get clearer about what actually matters?
In this episode of Dominate Your Day, I’m joined by LeeAnn Mallory, a leadership coach, consultant, facilitator, and longtime student of organizational transformation. With more than 30 years of experience working with leaders and organizations, LeeAnn brings a powerful perspective on what it takes to navigate today’s rapidly changing workplace without losing sight of our whole selves.
We talk about why leaders struggle to say no, how our old strategies for success can eventually become the very things that exhaust us, and why well-being has to go beyond what happens at work. LeeAnn also shares how she uses well-being, leadership, and 360-degree assessments to help leaders uncover blind spots and identify the levers that can create meaningful change.
Top 3 Takeaways:
1. You can't do it all.
No productivity system can change the reality that there isn't enough time to accomplish everything. Leaders need to get clear about what's most important and strategically decide what to say yes—and no—to.
2. Your coping strategies may have once served you.
People-pleasing, overcommitting, and other patterns often developed because they worked at some point in our lives. The opportunity is to become curious about the story underneath those behaviors and decide whether that strategy still serves us now.
3. Get on the balcony.
Step out of the fray regularly to reconnect with your vision, values, and priorities. When you create enough distance to see the bigger picture, you can make more intentional choices instead of simply reacting to what's in front of you.
